A tree, a coin and a transformation
Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign announces limited edition Challenge Coins
November 9, 2017 — Just in time for Remembrance Day and the holiday season, The Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign has launched a special new program designed to thank donors – a challenge coin. Starting Remembrance Day 2017, the first 500 donors to contribute $150 will receive one of these limited-edition collectibles. These can be used as a keepsake, or as a gift for that special someone.
Members of the Armed Forces have a long tradition of carrying challenge coins as they symbolize unity, identity and pride. Challenge coins are presented in recognition of special achievement.
Donors who contribute $150 will receive a threefold benefit. They will:
- Honour our fallen military personnel this Remembrance Day
- Protect the environment by planting a tree along the Highway of Heroes
- Receive a limited-edition Challenge Coin
“The new Challenge Coins are a symbol of our nation’s collective effort to honour each of our fallen military personnel and is one of only 500 commissioned,” said Mark Cullen, Project Lead and Co-Founder of the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign. “Together we are transforming the Highway of Heroes into a commemorative and striking roadway, as our fallen heroes deserve.”
