Fanshawe students compete in Landscape Olympics
By Wendy Harry
On Nov. 6, 2007 Landscape Ontario’s student chapter at Fanshawe College hosted the third annual Landscape Olympics. It was a very cold, winter day for the approximately 25 students who braved the elements for some fun.
The event is planned each year to bring students together from the Landscape Design and Horticulture Technician Programs as a meet-and-greet. Students competed in several stations, such as the shovel toss, tug-of-war, golf chipping and more.
This is one of two major events that the student chapter hosts each year. Special thanks go to Renee Murray, student chapter president, and Tricia Johns, student chapter vice president, for all their hard work to make this event another great success.
